02:15 PM ET 06.05 | Darren Helm is hoping that some offseason rest will heal his back and allow him to return to the ice next season. Helm injured his back lifting weights during the lockout and only played one game last season as he struggled with the debilitating injury. There was some concern that he may have to undergo surgery, but that has been ruled out for now and with no games to rush get healthy for, Helm can finally take it easy. He has months to get healthy and is the hope is that the patience and rest afforded to him by the offseason will have him back in time for the start of training camp in the fall.

He's not the only one hoping for a full recovery.

He may have to bite the bullet and go for corrective surgery. Time is of the essence.

Having experience with a bad back, and having a surgery to correct it, do what is necessary Helm, and rest up, take it easy, pay someone to do the heavy lifting. God Speed!

With "Helm" at the helm of the ship, "Cleary" skies, and a big "White" sail to carry the wind beneath their "wings" maybe they can "Kindl" some emotion and "Eaves" their pain with another Cup!

Yes, it's late.
