LeBron fueled by revenge

07:04 AM ET 06.06 | Thankfully for the Heat, LeBron James has a pretty good memory. The Spurs swept James' Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2007 NBA Finals, so long ago that the winning game plan focused on exploiting James' weaknesses. Those are nearly impossible to find now, and James essentially warned the Spurs that they shouldn't bother looking. The Spurs already know. ... [James] is now the best player in the game, is surrounded by more talent in Miami than he ever had in Cleveland, and still carries the memory of the beating the Spurs laid on him six years ago. "I have something in me that they took in '07. Beat us on our home floor, celebrated on our home floor. I won't forget that. You shouldn't as a competitor. You should never forget that," James said.

We'll see who flops first in the series. LeBron or Manu?

Anyway, LeBron is always trying to get an edge. Either from somebody from the other team talking or revenge from the past. It shouldn't matter. You're in the finals and winning it all should be the highest motivation.

Well the Spurs are a battle tested veteran team, so I doubt any of this worries or scares them. Pop will have a solid gameplan ready, and my only wish is that the Red Rocket has a monster series then looks into the camera and flicks Ghostown off.

I'm sure he's more fueled by the rage associated with being 0-2 against Texas teams in NBA Finals series...

He hates Texas.

"Revenge" is just the name of the supplement he got from his South Beach clinic.

Why start the game at 9?

It starts at 6pm here. My guess is Stern wants to take advantage of those prime time viewers on the best coast.

June 6, 2013  08:32 AM ET

that's stupid.
Why seek revenge for a finals loss when you already have your ring?
Ridiculousness.

June 6, 2013  08:33 AM ET

Errrr, I meant the West Coast.

Who do you want to win on this one OBD? I know the Spurs is our rival but they've been a classy team. I gues hate only happens when we play them...

I thought LBJ would be fueled by multiple championships....
The not 1,not 2,not 3 speech...
Gonna look foolish if he can't win another...Wade has two already.
But yea I expect a good series....

I think the severe difference in styles of play is what will be most endearing.

And I love Texas for all of the reasons he hates it. Go Spurs!
