07:14 AM ET 06.06 | Alabama's top prospects at the wide receiver and tight end positions all happen to rank among the country's top overall prospects, too. [Homestead (Fla.) High School's Ermon Lane:] The nation's No. 1 wide receiver according to the 247Composite rankings, Lane has the body and ball skills to be an immediate star at the college level. Alabama's hiring of former Miami assistant Mario Cristobal has helped put the Crimson Tide in great position with this South Florida star who racked up 800 yards and 8 touchdowns on just 30 receptions last season. ... [La Mirada (Calif.) High School's Tyler Luatua:] The nation's consensus No. 1 tight end prospect has plenty of familiarity with Alabama already as his older brother Isaac is a reserve offensive lineman.

Yeah, but if they want to read and write & learn to cheat on tests, then the SEC....

never mind, someone else will be along soon enough to sing this tired song

Quote: "What Saban wants, Saban gets." Appears there will be more job openings at the Athletic Department. Feel sorry for the professors at that school all money for the football program.
That other Alabama school will get in on the act and start throwing money around also. To the highest bidder goes the best WR and TE.

If they want to play a woosey schedule they'll go to Alabama. One day the SEC will give them a tough schedule like they do other SEC contenders and then Oh, Boy, we will see how many championships Alabama wins. The Saban statute should show him beating up little boys because that is what most of the schedule is for Alabama and has been for the past 14 years. Admit it, with that schedule even Tulane would have a winning season. Don;t believe me, check out the stats of Georgia Southern and the other patsies on the schedule. Adding Wichita State will not make it any harder. Saban probably wants to replace TN with Wichita State.

David Ubben @davidubben

Stoops on the playoff committee: "Well, if they have eight guys from Atlanta voting on it, that'll be a problem."

Popcorn is always available. Of course, being a bar owner, I must note that beer is the recommended pairing with it.

I think LUS's fav scheduler is handling that all by his lonesome

Remember when all the reports like this one were about USC last year? There is a cycle for everything and the tides are sometimes high and sometimes low... Alabama should be preparing for the low tide very soon.
I remember the dominating school teams of the Huskers the Wolverines, the Buck Eyes, the Trojans... in their high tide, they got all the top recruits and were thought to be unstoppable...Bama is no different.

If ever anything looked, smelled, and acted like a tird, that whole situation does. Very surprised Mike Slive didn't see that for what it could/would look like.
