10:11 AM ET 06.06 | Memphis Grizzlies head coach Lionel Hollins is on an expiring contract and is a coveted name by teams who are looking for a new head coach. According to reports, Memphis has allowed the Los Angeles Clippers to talk to Hollins, but have not extended the same courtesy to the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets inquired about the possibility of talking to Hollins shortly after the Grizzlies' season ended, but have not asked again. There is a possibility that Brooklyn would not be denied a second time around, but the team's primary candidate at the moment seems to be Brian Shaw.

It's kind of odd that they allowed a team in their conference to interview him but denied the Nets even though I guess now t looks like they might allow it, But who do the Grizz think they are going to get that's going to take that team further than Hollins did? Phil Jackson isn't coming to Memphis. George Karl only got the Nuggets out of the first round once. Seems like they might have delusional expectations.

This is the reason the Grizzlies are watching the Finals like the rest of us. This is the group that traded the only player on the roster that could put the ball in the bucket. This is the equivalent of cutting off a guys legs, then penalizing him for not running fast enough.
