07:15 AM ET 06.07 | Of course, Derek Jeter wishes he had an update -- perhaps, if only to kepp the questions at bay. [Jeter] returned Thursday to the Yankees' Minor League complex, where he will continue to rehab his fractured left ankle. But he can't take the next step in his recovery until next week, at the earliest. The Yankees captain is scheduled to fly to Charlotte, N.C., next week to meet with his surgeon and undergo a CT scan. Until then, he can't do much more than play catch, do some cardiovascular exercises and go through physical therapy. "I have no news, none. Can't do anything different till I see the doctor, so there's absolutely no news from me," Jeter said. "I wish, but I got nothing. I mean, I wish I could do more, but I can't until I go to the doctor."

Jeter said this as he was enjoying a $65 cocktail on the beach and being orally serviced by the 9+ waitress.

9+ on the 10 scale of course, he's not a pedophile.

Probably more like a $9 cocktail and a 65 year old waitress

Jeter ain't "back" in limbo. He is where he has been. It's the media that's in limbo.

So - did anyone else's virus protection announce a malware attack from fannation? There is an ad that is trying to gain access to my computer using this web site.

Oh - and of course Jeter will be longer... I have him on my injured reserve.....

Used to have this problem on epicski.com all the time...it was random if a particular advertiser came up, but they were selling ad space to shady people who tried to phish or load nasty cookies onto your machine.

That Welsh chick is still there and driving me crazy!
She looks kind of like a skinnier and less methed out Lindsay Lohan with a nicer chest, too.

Remember a few seasons back when there were strong opinions that the Yankees absolutely had to pay Jeter a boat load for his new contract, even though his best years were behind him? The Yankes eventually gave in and signed him to a contract based on the past, not the potential. Same with ARod, but they deserve that. Bottom line - teams must stop paying players based on the past and factor in the future. Gotta let players go if they are not willing to accept what they are when it comes to a new contract.

The Jeter deal was a pure PR move.

Yes it was. But Jeter is different than ARod. Jeter will have a role with the Yankees after he retires, as well as a plaque in centerfield. When ARod is done playing, I don't see the Yankees having anything to do with him.
