07:07 AM ET 06.10 | No matter how things turn out in the NBA Finals, the Miami Heat will soon have another chance at Chauncey Billups. The veteran point guard will become a free agent July 1. He said he then will consider the Heat. "Of course, I would have interest in Miami, of course," Billups told FOX Sports Florida after having received the NBA's inaugural Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award prior to Sunday night's Game 2 of the NBA Finals at AmericanAirlines Arena. The Heat went after Billups after he was released in December 2011 as part of the NBA's amnesty provision. However, the Los Angeles Clippers won the bidding process, and he has played with them the past two seasons. But Billups, 36, said he will look at all options this summer.

This is one of the reasons why Lebron will always be in the hunt until he retires vets want to play with the G.O.A.T.

Wonder why none of the vets want to play with ninja boy like this?

Bonner played last night. That's why they lost. Lebron had his highest points of the game in the 4th qtr. That's why they won...

Here from the other thread, just so you will know:

As much as I would love to blame Pop for last night's beating. I can't.

At some point talent (Heat) is going to beat effort (Spurs) once talent starts making an effort.

The Heat are just too athletic.

Congrats on your win last night anyways. Lebron was awesome and he showed why he will be the Finals MVP. He allowed Chalmers to lead the way...

LOL

Billups should have went to the Heat as soon as he was amnestied by NYC. Too late, homie.

First of all it is not a bash. Its the truth, basically ninja boy says he loves being a terrible teammate, which is why he will end his last year in L.A. on an early vacation because the Lakers aren't making the playoffs next year, with or without him. Especially when he is the reason they can't find good help.

Anyways ninja boy's career is over, he should start looking beyond basketball because basketball is done with him, unless he wants to take a vets minimum and be one of Lebron's role players.

Lebron's waiting on Kobe to retire so that he could bolt to L.A.

As a Bulls fan, I only wish that we could be fully healthy again. LBJ flying high in Chi-Town wouldn't be a bad sight to see either.

Miami has ZERO need for Chauncy.

Chalmers and Cole do a great job and in the event one gets hurt, they can go to a lineup with Lebron or Wade handling the ball. He would literally be like 11th on the rotation.

Makes no sense?

Why would he bolt for another re-build?

If Miami can keep the right parts around him, he is better off in South Florida. Money is not the object here...titles are.

Wade's health will be key as well and it would be nice if he could spend the next summer working on a more consistent jump shot vs having his annual off-season surgery.

I hear ya.

But unfortunately for the rest of the league, like the Bulls did for the '90s led by MJ, the title will be the Heat's to lose as long as they have Lebron.

They just have too much talent and athleticism and when they call on both, you get 20pts blow outs of the 2nd best team in the NBA, even after we just drained 10 3pts.

And all this happen when Lebron didn't lead them in scoring. Damm.
