12:27 PM ET 06.10 | Robert Horry has the rings to earn himself some credibility. He's played with Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan. So when Big Shot Bob is asked to compare and contrast, he might know what he's talking about. In an interview with HoopsHype, Horry was asked whether Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard could challenge Olajuwon for the title of best center in the NBA if The Dream were playing today. Horry was not optimistic. "Dwight would have no chance [against Olajuwon]," Horry said. "Howard is a good player, but his offensive skills are limited. He only has the Georgetown hook, a couple of spins in the baseline... Dwight is a great player, but there are things certain players can and can't do, and Hakeem could do a lot."

I mean Hakeem is a top 7 or so center of all time....So that's not really an insult

"Top 7 or so"....are you drinking this early?

This is not helping the Rockets cost. I guess he is not one of the people who is trying to sell Houston to Howard...lol

Wow, a few days ago we had Dennis Rodman saying that LeBron James would be a average in the 80's and early 90's. Now we have Horry telling us that Hakeem would have no problem with Dwight Howard.

You got love it when a retired player is give a chance to speak. You just don't know what they're going to say.

Hakeem would make Howard look silly; just like he did to David Robinson!

Right. How many guys would have a chance against Hakeem?

June 10, 2013  04:37 PM ET

Hakeem would tare Howard up. Inside, outside, in the middle, in Houston, Nigeria or Barcelona. Why are we even talking about this? Nate Thurmond would tare Howard up as would Clifford Ray.

Agreed, Go Ape Heattles!

Not much new here. Thank you Robert.

I'm sure the LA management setup Horry to say something like this so Howard is discouraged from joining the Rockets. Some things are just not coincidental.

You let the cat out of the bag. And since you know everything and are reliable, I'm sure Howard will see through the ploy...

SMH...

Huh???? What the hell does this comment mean??????????????????

You could almost completely discount everything Wilt accomplished compared to big guys now. He was by far the biggest dude in the league, and there were no three second calls in those days. Maybe he could have done just as well with the rules of today, but I kind of doubt it.

The article mentions the Horry "played with Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon..." etc. The poster is refuting that claim.
