07:04 AM ET 06.11 | For former Jayhawk Jeff Withey, Broadway certainly wouldn't be Kansas anymore. He's young, he's big and he likes the idea of living in a big city like New York. That's the mini-skinny on [Withey], who worked out Monday for the Knicks and will work out Tuesday for the Brooklyn Nets. The Knicks have the 24th pick in the NBA draft on June 27, while the Nets have the 22nd. Both teams could use a young 7-footer to back up their centers. ... "Both teams need a backup center," Withey said. "I think my first year I could pretty much come in here and contribute. New York is a great city and a great town. I would love to be in this area." Shooting guard Allen Crabbe also worked out for the Knicks Monday and will work out for the Nets on Tuesday.

You have no choice. Take what's given to you and make something out of it.

QUOTE(#3):

He's adequate, at a mid 20's pick.....Coming from a good program, was well coached. If he's the top rated guy on the board? Fine.I would prefer a more athletic guy though

He'll be fine if you take him in the 20s. The kid is pretty athletic and is a good defender. 4 years in college and a volleyball background also helps...

if he was a long-legged lady volleyball player- I'd be thrilled.but a guy vball player? not as excited.:)

I guess you don't know much about volleyball. Watch some men's volleyball sometimes. It takes a lot of athletic abilities to play volleyball and it's fast pace. The reason he is good at his position is that he has the ability to go straight up for a block and w/ great timing. This makes him a good to great defender...

The Knicks need another scoring option outside of Melo, the black hole. Withey is a terrific shot blocker, he doesn't have an offensive game outside the paint. He's the carbon copy of Chandler, beast on d, not so much scoring option in the half court.

You know nothing about basketball which I guess is the reason you're a UNC fan.
