02:20 PM ET 06.11 | Running back Marlin Lane is back with the Tennessee football team after missing a portion of spring practice and the spring game due to disciplinary reasons. The exact reason for Lane's suspension has not been disclosed, other than it was disciplinary in nature. Lane rushed for 658 yards and two touchdowns for the Volunteers in 2012, and they need him to stick around and produce for their running game to be healthy.

I think I just cracked the code as to why he is back :-)

We'll need Volunatic or VFH for the inside skinny, LUS.

Actually, pachy, there are other RBs on the roster. None have yet shown the "right stuff" to make the carries for the Vols. Before Bama put a patent on it, UTK was trying to develop the "RB two-pack" - a pair of uber backs evenly splitting carries & game time, either one of which would be a featured back in another program. Who in the southeast knows what Jones has up his sleeves for the once and future Vols. We can expect him to do what he can with who he's got in 2013.

May you get a chigger bite just below each ankle at the precise spot that your shoes rub your feet.

[Note to mods: This is banter between friendly fans of rival SEC programs. WPS is the sanglier. I'm the Vol.]

Don't worry. I pick my spots to poke back at them.

For instance, I'm safe doing it in a Vol thread...nobody reads those, not even the mods themselves!

Funny that you say that...it was just a year or two ago that the Volunteer football players actually had to take a training session on how to take a shower....Seems a few of them were coming down with some infections from not kneuxing how to shower.
