Belichick already annoyed by Tebowmania

07:03 AM ET 06.12 | Tebowmania blew into New England on Tuesday, a gaggle of media waiting to greet Tim Tebow, who offered merely a short statement. Not surprisingly, the classy Tebow didn't voice any ill-will toward Rex Ryan and the Jets. ... Tebow didn't take any questions. That was left to Belichick, who was clearly annoyed with all the Tebow questions after just five minutes. Not surprisingly, Belichick added no insight into how he plans to use Tebow nor did he provide any details how the decision was made. "He's a talented player. Smart and works hard," he said. He wouldn't specifically answer a question about football people around the NFL saying Tebow doesn't have the skills to play quarterback.

he knew that he'd be asked questions, he doesn't care and he certainly doesn't care if the media doesn't like his non-answers

OK ... he's annoyed ... what did he expect? It's like hiring Mushmooth or OchoPsycho and not expecting to get worthless thugs added to your roster.

Yup... Little Bill is going to be fun to watch at the pressers with the media getting all Tebow-ed.

We would all be happy if our wives had as little to say as the Dark Lord.

The media will be pulling their hair out trying to get this guy to say anything. Remember the press trying to get General Schwartzkopf to tell them when the invasion of Iraq would start? Yeah, it's like that.

Belichick won't even tell you what he thinks of the weather.

I confess - I absolutely LOVE Belichick. The guy is all about just playing football. The press is going to whine and cry and beat their heads against the wall all summer, but that rock aint moving. Just watch.

How can you compare it to that? Tebow has never asked for the attention his fans or the media give hi, he rarely talks out and works hard weather he's a good qb er not.....OCHO is in a different boat, the guys a complete ****

He makes Gregg Popovich seem downright chatty.

I do enjoy coaches like them.

Even Hot Clicks is about Tebow. WTF is with that?

C'mon. There's an immigration debate going on. Give us those huddled masses longing to be free from their bikini tops.

I nominate that picture of Kate with one of her assets nearly all the way out of its holster...

Senility has come early to the press corps. They should know by now that he doesn't give out information.

City Slicker: Not much between you and a fool, is there, farmer?
Old Yankee Farmer: Just this fence.

The press wants a story, and they make a story out of Tebow for their own benefit. If they cared at all about his development (and they don't), they'd leave him alone and perhaps give him a chance to develop under Belichick. Hopefully they will move on to more pertinent stories.

June 12, 2013  08:29 AM ET

Keep in mind this story was from the NY press, who still want to make a story out of it (if only because it'll sell to the Jets fanss).

My two cents -- Bels is going to glean whatever Jets info he can out of Tebow, and then he'll be gone.
