07:04 AM ET 06.12 | As the Nets circle, either candidate would represent the fresh face Brooklyn reportedly seeks to take where P.J. Carlesimo left off. Call it due diligence. Call it courtesy. Call it whatever, but the Nets still intend to meet with Pacers assistant Brian Shaw Wednesday regarding the team's head coaching position. So call that meeting anything, but still call Jason Kidd the leading candidate for the job. Kidd could not possibly earn that lofty status without the blessings of Nets ownership which he has earned, according to several persons close to the situation. "The Russians are on board," one of those persons claimed. Nets general manager Billy King has had a meeting with Shaw planned for several days. Shaw has received interest across the NBA landscape.

I think him and Kidd will be a great combo for the Nets. They should try to hire them both and bring Frank back as well.

As a courtesy? Please! Don't do the man any favors!

"Jason Kidd the leading candidate for the job."...

What can JKidd bring to the sidelines? The owner's showing no experience in this business by making a non-experienced player his head coach!

Gives the Knicks the upper hand in the state of NY...
