01:04 PM ET 06.12 | The Alabama Crimson Tide have won three national championships over the past four years under Nick Saban, but he wants to prevent the team from getting complacent and resting on their accomplishments. Speaking at an Alabama alumni event in Tennessee, Saban said, 'You become the target. Everybody's got our name circled. Everyone wants to beat us. You've got to get ready for that. When the game comes, everybody wants to win. Who prepared to win the game the right way?'' Considering Alabama's record over the past several seasons, it seems like a safe bet that the Tide will be ready to go this year.

If the humidity doesn't make you complacent, why would a passel of crystal footballs do so?

Duh?
Coach Saban doesn't want the team to get complacent.
That's a headline story?
Under him they will never get complacent. He may be a different personality, but is probably the best CFB HC in many years.

Bad information BushIsRight. As a UF/SEC alum,I have inside knowledge the conference had to decide between athletics and academics. SEC elected to go with athletics for $$ reasons.
Leave the books etc to domers, Rutgers and so forth

US News thinks otherwise, ranking Alabama at the #77 college in the states. But I guess from your screen name, you missed out on college.
