12:35 PM ET 06.12 | After a drawn out decision making process, Florida State signee Matthew Thomas will remain in Tallahassee and play for the Seminoles. Thomas, one of the top recruits in the 2013 class, wanted to transfer to USC to play football, but after signing a letter of intent with Florida State, he would have had to sit out a year and lose a year of eligibility. That was too high a price to pay, and Thomas will play right away for Florida State instead.

I just bought 4 new tires for my son's car before he heads off to college in the fall. Dam things ain't cheap. But that is one area I will not scrimp on.

I agree now...especially with my kids cars. HOWEVER.....when I was a young'un, I often bought retreads. Fun part, then, was when the tread would come off and flap against the wheel well...LOL
