02:03 PM ET 06.12 | Apparently enjoying his time on a possible NBA champion, Miami Heat forward Rashard Lewis says he has no plans to opt-out of his contract this offseason. Given the option of becoming an unrestricted free agent, the sharpshooter reportedly prefers to return to South Beach on a veteran's minimum salary next season after fitting well on a talented Miami squad this year. A great shooter even as his other skills have diminished with age, Lewis is one of many players on the roster that allows Miami to space the floor better for the likes of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. Seemingly content with no longer being a focal point of the offense, Lewis averaged just 5.2 points per game with the Heat this season, but was efficient in hitting 39 percent of his three-point attempts.

Lewis knows he can't get better bread in the association. Why not stay w/ the Heat where the probability of winning the title is very high. There is also the lovely ladies on South Beach. Rashard is smart to stay put.
