02:11 PM ET 06.12 | The San Jose Sharks are extending the contract of head coach Todd McLellan after his team advanced to the second round of this year's playoffs. The Sharks were ousted by the Kings in seven games, dropping McLellan's playoff record to 27-27 in San Jose, but he has made the playoffs every year since becoming the Sharks' bench boss in 2008. There were questions about McLellan's job status heading into the playoffs, with some speculating that he would be fired if the Sharks didn't make it out of the first round, but they did and McLellan is sticking around in San Jose.

I know Bylsma has a lot more talent, but still. They like Todd, but we're throwing Disco Dan under the bus.

His Team played their brains out against the Kings. This decision does not surprise me.

Too bad they suspended Torres or they'd be playing the Bruins tonight. ;-)

I bet the extension came with an order for him to spend the summer learning how to adjust the game plan when confronted by a team that is shutting the Pens down.

What was he supposed to do? He has a team loaded with nutless poosays led by the biggest poosay in the NHL and he essentially has his hands tied by Shero and Sid's spooning partner.

Lol, you had me at nutless poosays.
