04:01 PM ET 06.12 | Geno Smith has already enjoyed plenty of the New York spotlight since being drafted by the Jets in April, but now he's really starting to get a look at what it could mean to be the teams starting quarterback. Smith is taking most of the first team reps today with the team as part of the QB rotation, according to Rich Cimini on Twitter.

Chance to shine?

GD!!!!

Geno might be an NFL QB, maybe.

Tebow was a 2 time national champ and Heisman award winning QB, and they refused to put him on the field.

I hope Rex gets the karma he's worked hard at earning.

That is exactly what I thought of when I saw the headline. I'd be very happy to be wrong about this guy. I know Rex doesn't deserve it, but I'd like to see SOME good things happen for the Jets. At this point the bad stuff is overkill.

Sadly the Jets, and particularly Ryan have brought the bad things on themselves. It's easy to feel sorry for the victim of an out of control car, harder to feel likewise for the driver

As long as Rex is there, Sanchez starts.

And sleeps at the foot of the bed.
