07:00 AM ET 06.13 | Rarely do players worry about the math involved in teammates getting their own paydays. As Mike Williams fielded questions from reporters following a mandatory minicamp practice Wednesday, a Bucs' teammate walked by and shouted one request. "Pay the man," he said. And, in fact, it appears that Williams is closer to getting paid. Negotiations on a new contract between the Bucs and Williams, which accelerated following free agency and the NFL draft, may produce an agreement within weeks if not days. "All I can say about it is that it's very close," Williams said Wednesday. ... [Williams] is set to become a free agent at the end of the 2013 season. Bucs general manager Mark Dominik would like to get a deal completed prior to training camp.

Mike is a solid player, you better sign him, unless he's being greedy

They put too much helium in that football. It's lifting him right off the ground!

I can't think of one reason why anyone would voluntarily go to the Bucs.

What was missed by the reporters was that a few minutes before the interview started Williams slipped $100 to his teammate to say that within hearing of reporters after the interview started.

At least they didn't use him as a bench mark through training camp then cut him on the final trim down. This gives him plenty of time to have a successful season on another team. Good karma move, Elway.

Course there won't be a T&R on it until next week

Coming off a knee injury, 10 years in the league , since you could see the Bronco's releasing him a week ago maybe you could tell us what team is desperate enough to hire a broken down, old RB.
