07:18 AM ET 06.13 | Notre Dame's courtship of quarterback DeShone Kizer paid off Tuesday in the form of Kizer's commitment less than a week after his offer. [While] Kizer's commitment does not alter any of Alabama's plans at the position for 2014, it may ultimately affect those of another quarterback targeted by Alabama, as well as Auburn and Ole Miss -- Bossier City (La.) Parkway's Brandon Harris. According to 247Sports recruiting analyst JC Shurburtt, LSU had been working Kizer hard before his commitment to Notre Dame and may now turn more attention in-state to Harris as its No. 1 quarterback target. ... More attention for Harris, who plans to announce a commitment on July 18, and more competition for the schools recruiting him.

A La prospect lost to out of state, what gives?

I know....it's almost like a Texas QB going out of state.

Oh, wait....never mind

Not that big of a deal. LUS can't get'em all, there are usually a few each year from the top levels of Looziana HS FB that leak out, especially to a program like ND. When "the few" become more than a few, though, then the LUS faithful will be wondering whats up, and putting the hotseat moniker on Les Timex.

Kizer, who chose the Irish is from Toledo, OH. Brandon Harris is from Bossier City, LA and is due to announce his choice in July.

Catholic bagmen getting a little better.

LUS lands over 80% of the NOLA kids they offer...Compare that to UGA and Ohio St who is in the same situation..And its not even close.... I think UGA lost like 10 of their top 15 last year...Plus we go to FL and TX and pull kids just as high as the ones we lost..

LUS definitely does a good job keeping instate talent instate. LUS agmen know that adding a couple of fresh king cakes in their bag deliveries keep their talent targets happy, and they don't just have plastic babies inside, either!

agmen = bagmen when you actually type accurately

Thanx to the almighty Satan!!We learned what it took to keep all that talent in state... Instead of going to FSU and the U.... Keeping them home...I am forever grateful

I still shake my head over Faulk, Reed, Hilliard, and others that got away during the early and mid 90's. But I can't blame the kids for taking better 'offers'.

We only let the good players leave the state. We keep the crappy ones.

that is hilarious... obviously the MSUs bagmen have done well with him, and the kid read the accompanying note cards in the bag.

So he wants to be "apart" of it? Apart means separated, dude, but since it's an SEC school he'll fit right in, being apart of it.

And could just be a typo, but doubt it. Teeing it up for the haters.
