06:09 PM ET 06.13 | Quarterback Matt Barkley agreed to terms on a four-year deal with the Eagles on Thursday, leaving first-round pick Lane Johnson as the only rookie without a contract six weeks before training camp. Barkley, the team???s surprising fourth-round pick, sounded confident a deal was closed on Wednesday when asked about his contract. He said there were a few discrepancies that must be solved, but assured that the contract will not linger heading into a training camp when Barkley still hopes to win the starting job. The terms of the deal are not immediately known. Barkley was the No. 98 overall pick, and the No. 98 pick in the 2012 draft received a four-year, $2.58 million contract. That???s more than $10 million less than the four-year, $12.68 million dollar deal signed by Ryan Tannehill, who was the third quarterback taken in 2012.

USC QB's have had a long run of suck.

That's a lot less than the $100 million Vick signed for. How's that working out?

That $100 million is about as real as your wife having sex with you whenever you desire.

This is a good kid who didn't catch the breaks in college.
Let's hope he can catch some in the NFL, show the talent he has.

QUOTE(#3):

USC QB's have had a long run of suck.

Differences being:

1.
- Carson Palmer, Mark Sanchez and Matt Leinart were all drafted with 1st round picks.
- Philadelphia only had to use a 4th rounder to get Matt Barkley.
- People act like it's the same thing. It's not.

2.
Those other USC QBs fall into the fringe area of poor starter / very good 2nd-stringer.

If I can end up with a top-of-the-line 2nd-string QB for a 4th round pick, in today's era - where you need a solid back-up QB, then I consider that to be very good value.
