Denis Leary: Belichick has 'evil plan' for Tim Tebow

03:02 AM ET 06.14 | Denis Leary has graduated from the brilliant TV series "Rescue Me" to the big screen in movies like The Amazing Spider-Man and the upcoming NFL Draft film Draft Day. But he has always found time to put his die-hard love of Boston sports on full display and the comedian understandably had plenty to say about his New England Patriots and their signing of Tim Tebow. The move to sign Tebow is still one that has some people puzzled, but as Leary pointed out, Belichick is an evil genius and always knows exactly what he's doing. Belichick isn't a guy who makes rash decisions and has all his moves calculated well ahead of time. Leary, like many around the league, isn't sold on the notion that Tebow is a quarterback. Still, Tebow is indeed in town and everyone, including Leary, will need to get used to the idea that the backup quarterback is going to command more attention from ESPN than the golden God they have starting under center ever did.

Stop with the Fansided crap.

I wonder what Markie Mark thinks about Tebow.

This morning's Hot Clicks offering was much better.

And who cares what Denis Leary thinks? He can't even spell "Dennis" correctly.

Maybe we should start using the "report abuse" button to protest threads.

Tebow wouldn't be down with anything evil.

Mr. Chappaquiddick Cheatin' Chowdah will be using Tebowchrist to lead the on-field prayer sessions.

Tebow wouldn't be down with anything evil.

He'd combat it.

Tebow wouldn't be down with anything evil.

The only game plan Timmy cares about is God's plan.

So glad that Leary has shared with us his wisdom based on all those years of his playing in the NFL.

One of the dumbest postings in a long time, says nothing (and some dumb comments as well).

New England and coach Belichik is a near perfect situation for Tebow. How about everyone shut up and let the kid play (or sit the bench).

June 15, 2013  12:28 AM ET

I'm glad he cleared that up for us.

Not exactly relevant, but Leary went from stand-up to starring in movies to TV and back to movies. He was pretty good in Demolition Man, and he was hysterical in The Ref (the one Xmas movie I have to see every year).

If we look at it as "graduating" from TV to movies, then I guess Operation Dumbo Drop was like failing to complete his thesis in time and having to repeat his degree?

Tebow cannot take the stench off the Pattrash; Brady's leaving his pregnant fiancee for a new woman/man (?) is not forgotten, nor Belichick's cheating; firing a player solely because he was diagnosed with Type II diabetes rounds out the cesspool. It would take 53 Tebows and of course, a human coach, to change the Pattrash now.

I am so tired of Dennis Leary. His whole schtick is "calling people out." Hey Dennis, you're 55, anorexic, you have layered hair that is dyed with several different colors and you dress like a 25-year old. You're a joke, go home.
