07:13 AM ET 06.14 | Welcome back, Derrick Rose. Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said Rose's speed and explosiveness are back to where the former MVP feels like himself again. "I worked him out about a week ago," Thibodeau said in a phone conversation Thursday. "It was great." Rose missed the entire season rehabbing from a torn ACL in his left knee suffered during last year's playoffs. His longer-than-expected absence, and the ensuing debate about it, was the overwhelming storyline during a challenging Bulls season that ended in a second-round loss to the Miami Heat. Last season is over, and Thibodeau is looking to the future. "Watching the way he's moving now, there's a confidence," Thibodeau said. ... "I think he's there now. He feels great."

Yes and no. He won't be forgiven by the haters but his true fans understands him. He wouldn't have made that much of a difference against the Heat.

Thib's just sticking his nose into the crack of his best player.

Yeah but you gotta give him credit, he knows where his bread is buttered. And not once did he complain when DRose took his time coming back.

Which by the way was the smartest thing that young man could have done. I am all for anyone looking out for their best interest when it comes to their health, if you don't, no one else will.

Rose is a pansy.

After what has happened this past season with the on again off again, and then ultimately deciding to go the fraidy cat route and not even try to play, unless Rose comes back to blow up the league essentially proving to everyone that he truly knew better, his rep will never recover.

Seasons over for the Bulls. So I hope he's ready for next season.

GTFOH!!!! Haters? Why should anyone "hate" Rose to speak the truth and their mind? Just because their opinion differs from yours?

Facts are:
1. Rose was MEDICALLY CLEARED to play
2. If Rose wanted to be conservative and not "risk" further injury, that's fine, JUST SAY SO, and be done for the season.
3. During playoffs, MANY of his teammates were worse off than him wrt health, and they played like beasts, and showed who really had heart. Despite that Rose wouldn't let the limelight off him. May play, maybe not. Jeez how hard is it to call a press conference and say " I AM DONE FOR THE SEASON"!!!!!

So NO, they aren't "haters', but people that can see, read, hear, analyze and make up their own mind. smh

This entire Rose thing is old now...

Their season is over. He will be back next year in full health.

With 100m invested in the guy, I would let him take his time coming back...which he did.

Does not matter anyway, because had he come back this season, he would have been rusty and it would not have got them past the Heat anyway. That team is STILL a 3pt shooter and consistent 2nd option to Rose from getting past Miami.

why does it have to be a 'hater' ?I certainly don't hate him- he was one of my favorite players.I simply didn't agree with his decision.I don't hate him.

Then you're a fan. It's over and everything will continue to go in cycles because of what ifs. People won't like his decision but his supporters will back him up especially his coach and teammates. We'll never find out because the past is done. We all are going to have our own assumptions and everybody would be right.

Can he now get a few more players to help him get deep into the playoffs though?
The 1 man band concept doesn't work these days..
They gotta amnesty Boozer, replace him with a cheap pf off the bench so Taj can start and get him an all star caliber 2 guard or a guy that can be an all star but is a sixth man....

Would any other business be content to get zero production out of a 100m investment? Especially during the peak operating season?
