06:06 PM ET 06.14 | Don't look now but another super team may be on the horizon. Chris Paul and Dwight Howard have been in "consistent contact" and have discussed joining forces this Summer. Both players will be unrestricted free agents July 1 and would have no shortage of teams looking to make their wish to play together a reality. Howard and Paul could both command max contracts individually, but would potentially have to take a pay-cut in order to play together. Teams like the Houston Rockets and Atlanta Hawks have been preparing for Howard's free agency, but an opportunity to land both superstars could change decisions for teams across the league, including the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers.

Those two would be a good combo together. If they went to Dallas they could have a great stretch-4 in place already.

I disagree. They may win games but both have proven to not have that "It" factor anymore, they are now overrated.

Both have proven not to have it? DH, maybe. But, a few seasons ago, CP averaged 22ppg, 11.5apg, 6.7 rpg and 1.9spg against the Lakers when he was with NO. And all he had was David west and spare parts. They pushed LA TO 6 games.

Pat should bundle and trade the Heat's used parts ( Battier, Howard, Lewis, Anthony & Allen) for D12 and CP3.

Griffin, Bledsoe and Jordan for Howard sounds about right. Mitch will solidify his worth to the Buss family if he could pull this off. This Lakers fan is all for it.

The Lakers take on around 30 million in salary for about 21 million?
