09:53 AM ET 06.15 | Ever since word first cropped up that Jason Kidd was a candidate for the Nets head coaching job, Lawrence Frank has been listed as an obvious candidate for Kidd's staff as his lead assistant. Kidd did nothing to dispel the rumors that he'd like to reunite with his former coach with the Nets in Brooklyn at his introductory press conference Thursday, and then went so far as to publicly lobby Frank to take the job in a radio interview Friday. "Well, the invitation is out there to him, so it's up to him," Kidd said. "He's in a special situation. He's at home, but his wife is sick, so I understand coming off of coaching and wanting a year to spend with his family, I respect that. The big thing is he knows how much I love him and how much I really need him, but family comes first, and I respect that." Regardless of whether or not Kidd is able to get Frank to come join him with the Nets, it doesn't change the fact that he needs an experienced coaching staff around him.

QUOTE(#2):

Lol.....Why, cause he's been so successful lately?

I'm a Detroit Pistons fan and he butchered that job. His sick wife did not help his psyche.

I think this would be a good move for Frank. Less pressure, less responsibility, and I'm sure Kidd will let him go be with his wife whenever he needed to. Frank will thrive in that role.

I wish him luck because he is a nice man and a decent human being.

Who?

Frank is not a good choice. He's better getting an assistant somewhere else.
