01:14 PM ET 06.15 | Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning will play at least two more seasons in the NFL, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Responding to a question on Twitter, Mortensen said that Manning will play "at least two more years, maybe more." At this time last season, many were still doubting Manning's ability to come back and play another down in the NFL, let alone another season. Manning was coming off multiple neck injuries and subsequent surgeries, and the reports ranged from, "he's retiring tomorrow" to, "he'll play but don't expect anything more than five-yard passes." Few seriously predicted he'd return to form, but return he did. Manning's 15th season was among his best. Under Manning, the Broncos went 13-3 and had the No. 5 passing offense in the NFL at 283.4 passing yards per game. At this point, it's hard to imagine Manning having a down season for any reason other than his body letting him down. Will that happen in 2013, or will he actually be able to play a couple more seasons? That's anyone's guess, but the Broncos are definitely putting Manning in a good position to win, bringing in free agent wide receiver Wes Welker and drafting running back Montee Ball in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

What a waste of a thread.

I'd like to retire now, but with the taxes and the way the government has been nibbling away at Social Security and Medicare, I can't afford to.

I feel for you, Peyton. Drop by for an ice-cold Ensure when you're in the neighborhood.

Nice living for Mort with hard hitting reporting like this.

Just two?

I'd like to see him win another Super Bowl and take down some of Brett Favre's records before he hangs it up.

Mort's worried about all the layoffs at espn... He feels he needs to say something when nothing is there to be said. Schefter has a constantly flowing twitter feed, Mort feels expendable.

That could be the FN slogan, right there.

A smell a local Emmy for Mort!

Since he never scrambles, and falls down anytime he sees a def. player who might sack him he could play 10 more years.

Only thing worse than this reporting is hearing chris berman and his 25 year old catch phrases.

It's really a shame that Peyton has won only one Super Bowl. In 10/15 years, he we be discussed in the same conversation as Marino and Favre as being a very good QB, but not great, in fact, his brother will probably be rememered as a better QB!!!!

I'm not to sure about that. The bad Eli shows up all too often

Well, in your opinion, who is better Eli or Manning, considering Super Bowl wins??

Most of his catch phrases belong to Howard Cosell. Nothing original about Berman. Saw him attempting to do golf yesterday. At least it made me turn off the TV!!
