Jason Terry says Celtics' goal is the same

02:29 PM ET 06.16 | Two weeks after a procedure cleaned out his knee, Jason Terry sees the Boston Celtics' future as a bright one. He joined Boston before the 2012-13 season to win a title and despite rumors surrounding the core pieces of the roster, a championship is still on Terry's mind. He wants another crack after the knee issue that later required surgery hampered him for most of the year. And with point guard Rajon Rondo on the comeback from an ACL tear, Terry won't let the business of Doc Rivers, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce get his thought-process off track. "Things haven't changed - not at all," Terry said. "My understanding is that we're still trying to win a championship. What moves they make in the offseason is on them. But my goal is to play at the level we need to win a championship."

QUOTE(#1):

Boston has some talent still and they have added some young pieces. It all depends on what Doc and KG do.

I think KG goes Paul stays Doc is a toss up

QUOTE(#3):

but their talent aren't pieces that fit well.they have 4 small guards, they have green- who is a nice player- but not consistentand thats about it/

If Boston gets bledsoe I think its a possibility that Rondo will be headed out soon after

Celtics can shorten the rebuilding process if they make decisive moves...

Rondo- great PG on a very reasonable contract of about 11M a year
Jeff Green- very solid SM on a reasonable contract of 8M a year
Avery Bradley- a very solid bench guard that is a solid defender who was over exposed with so many minutes this year
Courtney Lee- a solid bench guard that is probably not best suited for starters minutes
Sullinger- a rich mans Big Baby with a much better attitude - an at best average starting PF at this point- better off the bench
Fab MElo- a bench big with some defensive talent

Doc, PP, KG, Terry and if they could, Lee- should all be traded to get picks and young players and cap space....

you have a decent jump start with Rondo/Green/Sullinger/Bradley but you need a whole lot more- and they have a LOT of flotasam that needs to be jettisoned before they could ever sign someone in free agency like like Lee and Terry....DeAndre Jordan is NOT the answer
