Lineup changes in store for 'Hawks

07:33 AM ET 06.17 | Brandon Bollig would probably like to have executed the play far better than he did. [Bollig] might have cost himself his spot in the lineup when he helped cost the Blackhawks Game 2 on Saturday night. Coach Joel Quenneville said Sunday that benched winger Viktor Stalberg "could play" -- which usually means "will play" -- Monday night against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden. Bollig's turnover in the Hawks' zone led to Daniel Paille's game-winning goal in overtime. Bollig, who acquitted himself well in Game 1, played only 8:42 in Game 2 with two giveaways and no hits or shots. ... Stalberg was benched for the first two games of the second-round series against the Detroit Red Wings in favor of Daniel Carcillo but returned for Game 3.

Oh, sitting Stalberg didn't work out? Who knew?

I guess you didn't see yesterday's thread. Boston didn't win the game according the Captain Whinious. The Hawks gave it to them.

Viktor Stalberg is nothing more than a Swedish Dustin Penner.

June 17, 2013  09:45 AM ET

In fact I believe Viktor Stalberg IS Dustin Penner's Swedish twin.

So he's destined to have two rings before the age of 30?

Strange thing do happen in sports sometimes. Never to the Leafs though. They have to earn it the old fashion way. ;-)

So Roamer you're saying the Leafs win another SC when the NHL contracts to the Original Six. :-)

That was mighty magnanimous of them.

I have no horse/dog in this race. However, if the Hawks tighten up their defense, and play the rest of the games like they played the first 20 minutes of Game 2, they should be okay. However, where they hell did their defense go the rest of the game?

Going back to Beantown for 2 games.

If the Bruins play at least as well as they played in Games 1 & 2, it should be 3-1 heading back to Chicago.

Couple of lucky bounces won Game 1 for Chicago. Got schooled after 1st period in Game 2. At home.

Bruins in 5.

Unfortunately, due to the shortened season they just gave him this little one...

Well if he meant they gave it to them by Q putting in Bollig and him handing over the puck off the boards...then yes, he is correct.

Trophies matter not to the selfless one.

It's the honour that matters. That and of course winning one early in a career, unlike a certain lummox....

He earned it, 'nuff said.
