03:10 PM ET 06.17 | The Vancouver Canucks have snapped up Swedish goaltender Joacim Eriksson, who helped lead Skelleftea to the Sweden Elitserien championship last season. Eriksson went 21-9-0 with a 1.67 goals against average for Skelleftea before stepping up his game in the playoffs with a 1.06 goals against average and .952 save percentage. So is this a good thing or a bad thing?

If they can sign him for $340 million for 17 years it will also give them some stability in goal. Maybe bring Bryz over from the Flyers for internal competition. Bobby Lou as a playing goaltender coach. Does it get any better? Of course, with the cap going down they'll need AHL (or junior) players at all other positions.

If this guy wins the Vezina, Holmgren has to go.

He'll have to stand in line behind Lulongo and Schneider to get a sniff!

Lipps Inc's "Funkytown" is far better than a truck load of shiny pennies. Cynthia Johnson was fabulous! I still dig that tune.
