07:04 AM ET 06.18 | Summer vacation is underway for much of the NFL, with particularly joyous downtime for players such as Dwight Freeney and Ahmad Bradshaw, who inked deals. But quite a few accomplished players will likely be waiting until at least late July. ... 1. DE John Abraham -- Yes, he's 35. Now that that's out of the way, let's acknowledge that his production and availability warrant employment given how hard it is to find proven pass rusher at this stage of the year. Abraham has averaged nearly 11 sacks over the past three seasons and has more (122) than anyone else currently playing. And though it seems he's typically battling some injury or another, he's missed just two games in the past six years. ... Best fit: Broncos.

Best fit: Broncos? They're going to need to change their name to the Old Grey Mares soon.

Good one.

Abraham was up in New England for a look-see, but the interest wasn't there. There's a reason for that.

Get out while you can still walk John.. Nothing left to prove.

Broncos don't have any money left besides the petty cash drawer.

Maybe they can convice him to play for nothing because he's a "free" agent?

Teams usually know when it is time to let a guy go. They rarely resurface and show much at the next stop. Young mans game.

Ah, memories of the USFL, XFL, and 3 previous iterations of the Arena league.

N.E. doesn't get the cred it used to after the Haynesworth and Chad Johnson fiasco. BTW...Bruins easily the best this year. Congrats.

Thanks. They are a team that's on fire.

Two years ago, as the Bruins squeaked into the playoffs, the word was that Claude Julien probably wouldn't be back. Then they won the Cup. There's a lot to be said for a coach who can get his team to peak for the biggest games.

He may have a few years left, a good backup at least for them.

That may be like, "the smartest kid on the short bus."

He's been a Productive Player... He's Available...

But what's he looking for? Something USA Today failed address... If he was cheap, I'm sure he'd be signed by now.

Is he looking for a 5 year deal with big guaranteed money cause "He's gonna play til he's 40"?
