02:00 PM ET 06.18 | Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin struggled with hamstring injuries in each of the last two seasons, so the team is looking to do whatever it can to avoid making it three consecutive years, including giving Austin days off during minicamp, according to Carlos Mendez of the Dallas Star-Telegram. Austin, 28, was given a day off during the three-day mandatory minicamp and sat out a few of the voluntary practice sessions before that. In 2012, Austin managed to play in all 16 games for the Cowboys, but missed some time in training camp with hamstring issues and left a couple games early due to hip and ankle injuries. He missed six games in 2011 with hamstring problems.

He rested them a lot during the '12 season, too.

I really like this guy. He stepped up when there was only overrated garbage around and made a respectable showing. But it's time for Miles to put it together. He's not going to do that sitting on the bench. He needs to learn to stretch them out and pressure them daily. This is the big boy's league. I think he can.

He should have stepped up, that $54 million dollar contract JJ gave him was not for being respectable.

Isn't the Star Telegram the Fort Worth paper? Did they merge with the Dallas News?

Yup, but JJ seems to have trouble pulling certain triggers when he should and some he pulls when he shouldn't.
