Allen Iverson never kidnapped his kids

02:59 PM ET 06.18 | Yesterday TMZ reported that Allen Iverson was holding his kids hostage at a Georgia hotel, and I figured TMZ was a reliable enough source to trust. So I wrote a piece basically saying Iverson should be in jail if the allegations were true, and that I felt bad for his five kids because they were caught between a messy divorce of two parents who probably shouldn't be allowed to have children. Apparently though, TMZ didn't exactly have the full scoop of the story as they updated the Iverson drama this morning. So Tawanna is cool with her five kids spending more time with the man that a week ago she was calling an alcoholic who kidnapped her kids, and she wanted the judge to throw in jail. Just another day in the world of dysfunctional celebrity parenting.

QUOTE(#1):

so now NOT kidnapping your kids is the minimum standard for being a father these days? wow

For NBA players parenting elicits this response: "My accountant takes care of that."

Allen Iverson probably shouldn't win Parent/Father of the Year Awards anytime soon, but...this is just another example of the media/"news outlets" running a factually incorrect story about someone and the only person who faces the negative consequences is the person who the story was about.

Based on that woman's false allegation, they could have come down on AI with a SWAT team and shot him.Why isn't she in jail for making false charges?Men go to prison based on crap like that and the liars who started it are allowed to walk free.

wont argue with that, and how does a parent really get charged with kidnapping? I know there is agreements that are made but can you really call it kidnapping when its your own child?

Yes you can! The law allows for that for many reasons that I can't go into here, but as a parent you can be charged with kidnapping.

You are spot on. My son's ex file police charges the he "punched" his 5-yr old daughter. She had photos (of mosquito bites literally) .. When police flatly refused to take action, she got a judge to issue a temporary protective order injunction where she now alleged he "pinched" the daughter.
All because he stated his intent to have her go to a charter school closer to his home.
