Flyers interested in dealing for Ducks' Ryan

07:27 AM ET 06.19 | Bobby Ryan may yet get his chance to play for the Flyers. Two NHL sources not associated with the Flyers tell CSNPhilly.com that the Anaheim Ducks are quietly shopping Ryan a week before the NHL draft in Newark, N.J., and that the Flyers are keenly interested. Among the scenarios that have been discussed is the Flyers moving defenseman Braydon Coburn and their 11th overall pick in the draft. "Still a lot to be worked out," said one source. Ryan has two years left on his contract with a $5.1 million cap hit. Obviously, the Flyers would be helping themselves with a scoring winger, but they would also be creating another hole on [defense]. ... Then again, the franchise has talked on and off about the 26-year-old left wing for several years.

A #3 defenseman and a prospect you may have to wait 3-5 years to see for Ryan?

Gimme what you're drinking, please Mr. Bartender.

So, it won't really hurt the defense that much if he goes :)

And, in today's paper, there was a report that the Flyers were interested in Bernier from the Kings to replace Bryz.

Here's an idea - put together a team and let the coaches work with the players and develop them rather than constantly shuffling everything around every off season. Just a thought.

As a Flyers fan, I would do that in a second. But I would have to believe that the Ducks would want more then that for Ryan?

Right on, do it the TOR way !

That report came from the mouth of Nick Kypreos, who says the Leafs want Bernier too. Because goaltending is the problem in Toronto still, apparently.

Kypreos took one (hundred) too many shots to the head during his playing days

Don't know why this reminds me, not sure if it's on topic: Costanza says, "I think I've figured out how we can get Barry Bonds and we don't have to really give up that much."

Stop it. Chemistry is not needed.

Signed,

The Flyers have no cap space. Signed Streit to to much money and for too long for a guy who is going to be on an over 35 contract. Holmgren has lost his marbles. This team is not getting better defensively, which it needs.
So I guess, keep doing what you do Paul
