04:44 PM ET 06.19 | The Buccaneers have added another player to the mix at cornerback. He doesn???t come with the expectations of Darrelle Revis or the promise of second-round pick Johnthan Banks, but Michael Adams will be heading to training camp with the team all the same. The Buccaneers announced Wednesday that they have signed the six-year veteran and waived guard Jeremy Lewis. Adams has spent all six of those years with the Cardinals, playing in 74 games and starting seven times before playing a limited role on defense in Arizona last season. Adams has three interceptions over the course of his career.

Last chance for Freeman, and some good QBs coming up in the draft.

2012 stats: Freeman 27 TD/17 INT/ 4065 YD. Romo 28/19/4903, Rivers 26/15/3606, Dalton 27/16/3669, Eli Manning 26/15/3948, Luck 23/18/4374. All pretty comparable numbers, some guys (ex. Dalton) benefit from West Coast dink and dunk that inflates comp. pct. and improves their QB rating. Yeah, it's clear that the Bucs are calling 2013 make or break for Freeman. I watch most games on tv, go to RJ sometimes--he throws a nice deep ball and looks real good some games, then can't make routine throws/makes poor decisions other games. Bucs receivers sucked until 2012, OL not much better, coaching carousel, this dude needs more time/experience. Unfortunately, his contract is up and da Bucs gotta pay him or jettison him. Too bad Jerry freaking Jones isn't the owner: Romo has started for 7 yrs. and won ZERO playoff games and has similar 2012 stats as Freeman and gets a monster extension. Go figure. Bucs were dead last vs. pass in NFL for 2012. At least they're trying to shore up the secondary, they could use a guy to pressure the QB also. Loving the NBA/NHL playoffs, and MLB, but still jonesing for some football!
