07:12 AM ET 06.20 | Just how good is Matt Harvey? Back in the middle of April, it was just a fun chant from fans at Citi Field. [Harvey] was outdueling Stephen Strasburg, and they loved it. "Har-vey's bet-ter," they chanted then. Harvey's better, scouts agree now. "I don't know if you're doing a survey, but put me down for Harvey over Strasburg, and it's not even close," said one scout who watched the Mets right-hander's latest great performance, Tuesday in Atlanta. "Not even close," another scout agreed. "He's tougher to pick up. His stuff is more dynamic. And his slider is unhittable." Mets fans can say they were ahead of the curve on this one, but they won't like the next thing both scouts said. Matt Harvey or Zack Wheeler? Again, not even close.

Danny Wheeler? I loved that character on Taxi.

You could say at this point that Harvey is better than Strasburg because of the injuries he has now and in the past, but don't even put Wheeler in the same conversation with one major league start.

agreed. Wheeler did look promising the other day, good location and velocity on all his pitches.

I think it's good that the Mets have some positives going for them that they could build upon.
Got to get a few bats in the lineup to help the pitchers out.

I watched Wheeler's start and it's plain to see that he's easily better than Steve Carlton.

Stasburg has struggled this year. not sure if something happening physically wrong with arm or major league hitters catching up to his fastball. The Nationals are struggling also. they got Werth back. Not sure when Harper will be back. when Harper comes back If his knee is still sore it can affect his ability to hit for power. Wheeler shows much promise. If he pitches up to billing it would give the Mets a solid 1-2 punch in their rotation. get some solid bats in lineup To support David Wright

I see Strasburg on DL. Have not followed Nationals much. Their DL looks more like their starting lineup. But no other teams will care. The Nationals still have to go out and try to win games with fill ins for those on DL.
