NBA execs thinks Cavs overvalued No. 1 pick in trade talks

02:54 PM ET 06.20 | The Cleveland Cavaliers have been shopping the No.1 overall pick in this year's NBA Draft, but according to an NBA executive, Dan Gilbert and company think they have something more valuable than it actually is. While there's no doubt that teams covet the No. 1 pick in this year's draft, Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix reports that they have "completely overvalued" the pick in trade talks. They seem to be forcing that mystery prize into something valuable and you can't blame them for trying. It's like those people that sell their tickets on StubHub for a $1,000 with no intention of not going to the game unless some sap buys their tickets for $1,000. That same logic might be being applied here by the Cavaliers who think if someone wants to overpay for the top pick then let them.

Just keep the pick and see if you hit the lucky stars. No one seems like a franchise-changing pick.

Noel doesn't have any offensive game. Cavs would be wise to rework their trade demands or select a different player @ #1.
