07:05 AM ET 06.21 | Earlier this week, Vonta Leach was quoted as saying he had "some teams" that were courting him, and one would allow him to take his talents to Miami. Talks between NFL teams and [Leach] have heated up in recent days, The Miami Herald has learned, and Dolphins coach Joe Philbin is said to want a deal done by the end of the week. Leach, an All-Pro Bowl fullback, has been on the free agent market since the Ravens cut him early last week. He visited the Dolphins during last week's mini-camp, but left for home without a deal in place. If signed, Leach would assumedly become the starting -- and possibly only -- fullback on a Dolphins offense that struggled in short-yardage situations a year ago. He has drawn interest from multiple teams.

If you can afford him, and include him in enough plays, go for it. He is a beast.

About Leaches constant pestering for a new contract, this is what Philbin had to say: I hope someone signs him, just so I can get this Leach off my back.

My Dolphins are starting to look better and better. With the mess in NE, plus Sanchez is still the quarterback of the jets, and well, the Bills are the Bills. Dolphins might actually have a shot this year.

Methinks he'll want a new job pronto after this season.
