08:37 AM ET 06.21 | An arrest warrant for Aaron Hernandez has been issued in connection with the death of Odin Lloyd. The New England Patriots tight end will be charged with obstruction of justice, according to reports from David Myers of ABC News and WBZ NewsRadio 1030. The obstruction of justice charges could lead to additional charges as the investigation continues. The body of Odin Lloyd was found near Hernandez's home on Monday, and although Hernandez had initially cooperated with the police investigation, authorities discovered his home security system has been intentionally destroyed and his cell phone had been smashed.

Before much longer, Goodell will be invoking the league's personal conduct policy. One way or the other, Hernandez will be missing a few games.

In jail for the weekend, new charges will be dropped on him before he gets in front of a judge on Monday.

Cops: Mr Hernandez, we need to examine your phone please.
AH: Oh snap, I just dropped it under the tires of my Benz, sorry guys.
Cops: uhh, ok, then we need to examine your home surveillance system's tapes.
AH: Oh snap again, that thing made me angry yesterday, and I took a hammer and busted it to hell and back, sorry guys. Anything else I can do for you nice gentlemen?
Cops: uhh, well, yeah, put these cuffs on.

"You should probably find yourself a safe house or a relative close by because you're probably wanted for murder."

Goodbye Hernandez...

Time to take a powder. Yesterday PopSci had an article about the best countries without extradition treaties. Aaron might want to look that up.

With a court order, they don't need his phone to find out everything they want to know....A lot of people are upset about the phone record thing now, but it was not that long ago every call you made was listed on your phone bill....Remember?

What is ironically funny about his attempts to "obstruct justice" is that it firstly gives them the ability to arrest him, then with a forensic IT team they can probably pull anything they want off of the phone and camera system's storage medium.

Most importantly to Hoody is how can we get his salary off the books for this season.

Yep, especially with the evidence they currently have, not to mention the cour-ordered search of his house, getting his phone records and lots of other electronic info is a given. All he did was make it look EVEN MORE like he has something to hide.

games? Hernandez is going to be in jail for quite some time, his career is ovah.

I'm afraid you're right.

We're going to have to learn to pronounce the name of that guy that's so long they have to use a special smaller font to fit it on his uniform, and he's a big dude. Begins with H.
