09:13 AM ET 06.22 | Football is the last thing on Brian Urlacher's mind right now. The former Bears middle linebacker and likely Hall of Fame inductee is more consumed with another sport these days: golf. Urlacher was one of a handful of celebrity participants in Friday's Encompass Championship at North Shore County Club in Glenview. He was joined by Bears coach Marc Trestman, punter Robbie Gould, former Bull Toni Kukoc and others. Urlacher said he thought about a career in coaching but quickly changed his mind. "I don't think I would be a good coach," he said. "First of all, I don't want to spend the time coaching. I feel bad for them. During the season, they work 90 hours a week. I don't want to do that." Becoming a television analyst could be an option for Urlacher in the future. Fox Sports national told the Tribune it would be willing to listen if Urlacher is interested in talking.

Urlacher could be good in the booth. It couldn't hurt either side to give it a try.

If he tells us Cutler's a good QB he'd be better suited for Fox News.

Give it a shot 'B' the career seems to be over.

Bring him in like Tony Siragusa - giving defensive analysis from the end zone.

Of course, the 2nd and 3rd string booth guys aren't that good, so maybe he could start right in at the booth color slot. Moose Johnston wasn't very good at first, but he has improved to passable.

He'll have to take a communications course or two and learn some new English words that include more than four letters.

What did he major in while in college ? Or is this some sort of right of passage where you play in the NFL, broadcast till you are voted into the HOF, go on dancing with the stars, then spend another 5 years on a sitcom or reality show? Then when you are around 45-50 you can officially retire and play golf and drink beers with your buddies.

You forgot declaring bankruptcy after 5 years and blaming your financial "advisors".
