09:54 AM ET 06.22 | Former University of Houston running back Charles Sims told FOX 26 Sports he is transferring to West Virginia. Sims, who led the Cougars in rushing last season, asked for and received his release from the Cougars. He had already graduated with a degree in Health Education and is eligible to play immediately for West Virginia where he arrived on Thursday for his official visit. "I'm familiar with the offense and I just felt comfortable at West Virginia," Sims said during his visit with the Mountaineers staff. "I'm familiar with their schemes and what they have going." Sims said he was also considering UCLA before settling on West Virginia.

Why transfer when he was the starter? Maybe he wanted to play in a BCS conference to up his draft possibilities.

Or, maybe he didn't like new coach.

He was recruited and played 2 seasons under Sumlin, before he split last year.

They weren't too good last year without Sumlin and Keenum. 5-7 They beat Rice, North Texas, UAB, UTEP and Tulane and lost to Texas State, La Tech, UCLA, SMU, East Carolina, Tulsa and Marshall

This and last year's record of 5-7 could be more reasons.

Anyone who picks Morgantown WVA over UCLA is limited mentally and should go to the hillbilly state because they would not fit in in California.

LOL, that's a little harsh, but I understand your point. UCLA has a great campus and all the chicks running around, is a plus!!!
