10:58 AM ET 06.22 | Less than one week until the NBA Draft, and all eyes are on Cleveland. The Cavs hosted all of the top prospects this week, and their board is close to finalized with Alex Len of Maryland goin No. 1 unless the pick is traded. Also, sources tell SheridanHoops.com the Cavs are in serious discussions to acquire Shawn Marion from Dallas in a lopsided trade that would allow them to move up from No. 19 to No. 13 in the first round by relieving the Mavs of Marion's $9.3 million salary, allowing Mark Cuban more salary cap flexibility to use on July 1. You can bet your bottom dollar on this: If the draft were held today, the Cavaliers would select Alex Len with the top pick. The Cavs believe he is the best fit long-term alongside Kyrie Irving.

Cavs fans have said he's done. This would be KARMA.

As a mavs fan i would hate to see Marion go but thats life in the nba for an aging veteran pretty highly paid on the last year of his deal.....

If he is making good money then reclaiming that cap space would be a good thing. You never know what can happen on the free agent market this summer.

Yeah i know. I just dont want to trade him off and get nothing and also lose his productivity....he has been pretty solid for the mavs the last few years...

June 22, 2013  11:31 AM ET

If they do pull it off the mavs would have only like 25 million in dedicated cap space....

I guess the Cavaliers are looking to grab that Russian 19yo swing man at 13. I don't know much about him but I guess I don't know much about any of these guys.

Makes sense for both teams

Marion has an option also. He can opt out and can resign at a lower salary w/ the Mavs but also extending his years. I bet Cuban gave him that option but he is probably not taking it. He can also get traded to the Cavs but can chose to retire.

if they want to give us the #13 pick to take Marions contract off their hands thats cool

We will give them 31, and 33 for 13 and Marion

1, 13, 19....not a bad way to start the draft...

June 22, 2013  02:16 PM ET

MArion is done after this year too- which would preserve a bunch of cap space for next year when a bunch of small forwards like LeBron, Deng, Granger become available on the free agent market

a one year stop gap of Marion at SF in order to get the #13 pick would be cool by me......

with 1, 13, and 19 you can get some major stuff done in the draft...maybe package 13 and 19 to get back in the top 8 or so and get a guy that falls......

Len and Shabazz? Bennet and Oladipo? it should be an interesting week that is for sure

June 22, 2013  05:23 PM ET

what would be cool is if the Cavs traded 19 for 13 and Marion- and then Marion got really bitter and declined his player option becuase he did not want to come to Cleveland

and then the Cavs would still have the cap room for this year and have 13 instead of 19....lol.....

geez...it would be awesome if Cleveland could some how move up and get 2 picks in the top 7 and get 2 out of

Porter
Oladipo
McLemore
Noel
Len
Bennett
Shabazz
