LPGA Tour more than just good golf

01:02 PM ET 06.23 | As we wait for the Sunday round to unfold at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G at the Pinacle Country Club, let's take a closer look at the real winners in LPGA Tour. The LPGA Tour is about more than great golf. Those of us who follow professional women's golf know the names and faces of great and not-so-great women golfers. Fewer of us know about the less visible winners in the women's pro golf world. Let's take a look at them. Before the start of the NW Arkansas Championship, the 2-day Pro-Am event raised money for The First Tee of NW Arkansas, The Boys & Girls Club of Benton and Washington Counties, and the Goodwill Industries POWER program that provides assistance to low-wealth women who are seeking employment

He could have given up after Stroud chipped in to tie. He might have thought he was jinxed but he hung tough to win in the playoff.

He certainly had to earn it. It wasn't easy.

I actually missed the chip only to come back and have them talking about a playoff.

Couldn't believe it.

Somebody better tell him to ditch the visor in favor of a ball cap or load up on the sunscreen cuz he may end up frying that coconut...

I think it was Gary McCord who earlier in the program mentioned that on the PGA tour the odds of making a putt greater than 25 feet are 5%. The chip was 51 feet which makes the odds lower than that. At that time Duke had to feel that the gods were against him. Of course, he did get a huge break on hole 14 (I think) when the tree spit his ball onto the green 5 feet away.

That seems a little harsh but it's hard to have much sympathy for what he did on the 16th. When you can't hit a green from the drop area with a wedge in your hand you kind of deserve what you get. It was a fun tournament to watch but I saw some unusually poor golf Saturday and Sunday. Some great shots but a lot of big misses.

Actually enjoyed the commentary from the B team crew for a change as we didn't have to put up with their so-called A team...

I got a kick out of them giving Bubba the little digs for blaming the shots on his caddie.

He may have been 44 but he looked like 64 to me!

The LPGA should consider a tournament in were the players wear bikinis as they play only with garter belts.

It's hard to advance the ball swinging a garter belt.

Maybe if they used it like a slingshot...

I expect attendance would increase if this change were adopted!
