11:24 PM ET 06.23 | Doc Rivers is gone to the Clippers, and it's highly unlikely that Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce will join him there. So what's next for the two Celtics veterans? There's a growing belief that Garnett will play one more season before retiring and possibly taking a job in the Timberwolves' front office under Flip Saunders, his old coach. As for Pierce, the chances are waning that his $15 million contract will be bought out for $5 million by June 30. The Celtics have reportedly seen enough interest on the trade market for Pierce that they feel like they can make a good deal.

I hear that the Cavs have offered Boston two 2nd round picks in this years draft for Paul Pierce. If he's traded to the Cavs, that makes his $15 million contract fully guaranteed. And the Cavs have the room on their cap to take in his contract without giving anything up. But maybe if the Cavs gave the Celtics a non protected 1st round pick, it might happen.

As for Kevin Garnett? Who knows.

No way pierce will stay or go to a legit contender and the Cavs are not that. I think KG will go to LA not sure but I heard Jordan and pierce for a 1st rd pick

Now that Doc is gone; it may be time for Pierce and Garnett to hang it up. Both have been around the leauge for some time now ad leaving while ahead may be a good options.
