07:17 AM ET 06.24 | In a rare interview, Racean "Roc" Thomas shed some light on his recruitment over the weekend, and national powers are on his short list. [Thomas] finally opened up and gave reporters some insight into where his recruitment currently stands. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound back told reporters that while he isn't ready to make a decision or name a leader, a group of schools currently stands out at the top: Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Oregon and Florida State. Thomas also added that the Florida Gators could join that list soon. "If Florida starts recruiting me hard, then I guess they'll come into the mix," Thomas told 247Sports. Thomas has visited Auburn several times this spring, including a visit during Big Cat Weekend, which Thomas said made a strong impression.

Only if they start to "recruit him hard", which in SEC parlance means SHOW ME THE MONEY!

Nope. He won't leave the state of Alabama. Depends on whether Aubie is willing to provide a "church repair" size bag.

He doesn't want just a lunch-size brown bag, he wants a grocery-sized brown bag.

Oh, in that case, guess he won't be going to Auburn. Our cap is $200,000.

Or, maybe its Ole Miss now

Y'all can have the mirror-mirror boys. Tennessee needs humble, focused, hard-working, honest talent with mission and drive. Self-aggrandizing, BB-gun wielding, pot-smokin' fools blessed with soon-to-fade athletic abilities can either entertain the bag men or look up Lane Kiffin in SoCal.

Gus need to up his Line of Credit with the Big Cat Club? The Bull Gator Slush Fund and Grocery Bag Club has given Mus a fair amount more than that, I think. Gotta pay up to stay up.

Yeah, he and T Boone can probably out bid any individual...it's that collective bunch at other places that present a problem.

The only reason he might not pick Bama is that we are as stacked at RB as any college has ever been.

Hey Joe, what are your thoughts on Altee Tenpenny? I've seen him play several times & hoped he'd come to Arky and play immediatly. Where do you see him in the pecking order at Gump?

Gray shirt at Bama. Best look elsewhere.

Good point, but until these kids start competing against each other, you will never know who is the best!!! This kid Thomas, just might be better than any RB on Bama's roster.

Isn't that what Longhorn fans said last year with Gray and Brown?
