07:18 AM ET 06.24 | Can Michigan pull off a 1-2 combo? The No. 2-ranked player in America has already made his intentions clear. He's coming to play college football in Ann Arbor. And now, Michigan five-star 2014 cornerback commit Jabrill Peppers says he's doing anything -- and everything -- in his power to make sure the No. 1-ranked player joins him as a Wolverine. In an interview with Rivals.com this week, Peppers discussed his current recruiting pitch to five-star defensive end Da'Shawn Hand, Rivals.com's No. 1-ranked player nationally. "I'm just trying to get him to come to Michigan," he told the site. "A great defensive end makes a great corner, and vice versa. We could help each other out tremendously, that's the main thing I'm trying to stress to him."

Go Sparty Go

It's a shame to see potentially good players not make the most of their opportunities. Why come to the state of Michigan and choose to play for an above average defense, when you could go 60 miles up the road and play for a great defense? Ah, the foolishness of youth.

If they want to make the most of their opportunities, they wouldn't go to the state of Michigan period. They'd play in the SEC. Only conference worthy of such talent.

In typical UofM fashion, you ignore the facts of the current status and can only point to records produced long ago. The truth is difficult for you to handle, but it is the truth. Michigan's defense is above average. Michigan State's defense is great. These guys would be much better off playing for MSU, especially if they want to play in the NFL.

I agree. I sent you a friend request, if you are interested, if not, ok too.

I have to go cut the grass right now. Where can I get me one of those?

Oops wrong quote, meant for number 4. I am so inept at this stuff, I don't know where to look for friend requests. If I find it, I'll respond positively.

So they can be like Plaxico Buress and Charles Rogers?

Kudos on winning four in a row, but now that Hoke is in and drafting (and coaching) far better than RickRod expect to see them where they belong at the top of the Legends Division.

You sound like Buckeyes fans that dote on Tressel yet forget Cooper.

Savor the flavor buddy, becuase the majority of RickRod's players have moved through the system and now with improved recruiting (both by coaches AND players: see above:) Michigan football is moving back to Big Ten dominance.

If he wants to win NCs, he'll go to Bama.

If he wants to win NCs, he'll go to Bama-and play an easy schedule to do it. C'mon, Saban, man up and get some competition on your schedule. Prove you are a good coach. Naw, says Saban, I like playing Georgia Southern. Got rid of that darn ULM because we paid them good money to come play us at home and they had the audacity to beat us. Told them they will never be on our schedule again because we need patsies.

I know, Rich Rod isn't there anymore, huh.

Nor is Tom Brady!!!! LOL.

Or...he can go to Alabama, and be part of a defense that includes Marlon Humphrey...who may be the best corner in years. As to scheduling...let's see. They have beat LSU (at LSU no less) and Michigan. So all you loud mouths who complain Alabama doesn't play anyone should keep your mouths shut until such time as you DO beat them when you get the chance to play them!

LMFAO, yes they have beaten LSU and Michigan in the past, but Bama has also beaten "PowerHouse" teams like, Western Kentucky, Florida Atlantic, Arky, Miss, Western Carolina and Auburn in the past. Oh yeah, don't forget that Bama lost to Texas A&M at home last year!!!!!
