03:15 PM ET 06.24 | The Los Angeles Kings parted ways with their former goaltender of the future, Jonathan Bernier, sending him to the Toronto Maple Leafs for Matt Fratting, Ben Scrivens and a second round pick. Bernier was once one of the best goaltender prospects, but Jonathan Quick's emergence in LA buried the 24-year-old Bernier, Once Quick signed a 10-year, $58 million extension last season after winning the Conn Smythe Trophy, it was clear that there wasn't room for Bernier to be the starter in LA and the team has looked to trade him since. Berier played well as a backup last season, going 9-3-1 with a 1.88 GAA and now he will get the chance to start in Toronto.

I will be happy when all the Bernier talk comes to an end so I can get the name Serge out of my mind.

That depends. If he falls flat on his face you'll hear about him every day. We'll see to it. If he does well, you might hear his name occasionally.

AGAIN !! how many times can you trade one guy to one particular team?

Wow. Reiner plays like a bat out of hell again and gets what? The back-up job? This is crap, and another reason why the Leafs keep having trouble. When its working......break it and try and fix.

IMO he has no seniority and Reimer after the last few seasons has more experience!

I like Bernier don't get me wrong, but how many times does a guy have to prove himself on a young team? He's not getting the management support that he should based on his play.
