07:49 PM ET 06.24 | With the Doc Rivers sage now behind them, the Boston Celtics must now look towards the future and try to decide who the right guy to fill the job will be. Right off the bat three names come to mind and will be heavily rumored to be involved with the vacancy left by Rivers in Boston. The first choice is Brian Shaw who was at one time the hottest name on the coaching market but remains without a job. If the Celtics are looking to rebuild, a young, talented head coach like Shaw seems to be a good fit. But rebuilding is about taking young players and having a proven veteran coach them up. Shaw is a hot name and without a doubt a great coach but both Vinny Del Negro and Lionel Hollins are more experienced as head coaches and could step in and mesh the old with the news in this transition period the Celtics are now entering.

Celtics could do a lot worse than making a long term commitment to Hollins.

And - it also appears that Brian Shaw is off the market.

Headed to Denver.

I'm surprised he's still on the market.

Yeah Shaw is officially a nugget. Boston would probably go after Karl, Hollins, or Byron Scott

'Twan Walker has just thrown his hat for Boston's HC LMAO. I haven't heard a better joke in months, can't stop laughing :-)

My Celts will probably go after Hollins, Ainge will make the negotiations too public and it will blow up. Then we'll go after Karl and he and Ainge will disagree over something trivial like him having bottled water on each flight and that negotiation will dissolve. So then we'll end up with Lawrence Frank. The end.

Agreed. I'd much prefer him to Del Negro.

I know, that cracked me up too. It's difficult to try and think of worse candidates than Antoine.
