07:06 AM ET 06.25 | When it comes to his recruits, Steve Addazio maintains a strong measure of loyalty. Boston College's first-year head coach reiterated that sentiment [Monday] in regards to the Patriots' Aaron Hernandez, who is embroiled in the investigation into the death of Dorchester's Odin Lloyd, who was an acquaintance of Hernandez. Police say Lloyd was shot to death on June 17. His body was found a day later in a wooded area near an industrial park about a mile from Hernandez' North Attleboro home. "Obviously I think the world of him and I just feel bad for all that is going on. He and I had a great relationship," said Addazio. "But just the nature of taking head coaching jobs and doing things, I really haven't spoken to Aaron in about three or four years."

"I think the world of him." As Hernandez holds gun to his head.

The boy is scared as hell.

The story has completely faded from the web page of the Boston Globe. We had a triple murder in a bad part of town a couple of days ago that's got the headlines now.

And congratulations to the Chicago Blackhawks.

A lot of water has passed under the bridge in the last 3-4 yrs coach.

He is cooked.....wonder what his signing bonus was on the last contract....last nfl penny he will see

$40 mil contract, $16 mil guaranteed, $9.25 mil of guarantee already paid in the initial bonus.

They sure dumped a lot of money into their TE's....

It's amazing how individual and team fortunes can turn so quickly. With Gronkowski's arm falling off at the elbow, and Hernandez possibly locked into a lengthy trial, the Pats could be looking at Jake Ballard and Tim Tebow starting at TE this season.

And Wes Welker dumped Brady for Peyton Manning.

They have some depth at the position with Fells and Hoomanawanui.

They haven't got anything on him or they would have done something by now.New England is going to be on the hook for the whole $16 M and maybe the whole $40 M weather he ever plays another down. Maybe Vlad set the whole thing up as a little payback for the ring incident.

True, but after the Giants got burned by the Burress gun mess, the new CBA deals with this issue. If a player goes to jail now, or misses time dealing with criminal issues, you not only do not owe him money, he owes YOU back a portion of any signing bonus....

Not really. The new CBA addresses this issue. The owners got a lot in that deal.

I just read he doesn't have a "failur to perform" or failure to practice" clause in his contract which could allow him to keep $2.5 Mill.

Don't know about that. The rules say if you miss practice or game time because of criminal legal issues you do not get paid....It will be sorted out in time.
