07:24 AM ET 06.25 | The hockey season now officially over, Brad Richards does not know what the future holds. "I would love to be back but I haven't been told anything," Richards, who faces the possibility of becoming an amnesty buyout, told The Post in an email [Monday]. "That's the truth." There had been a report on Twitter that the 33-year-old center told his caddie -- during a Sunday round of golf with Mark Messier -- he knew he would be back in New York next season. "I probably said I would love to be back, but I have no clue," Richards said. ... The amnesty buyout window will be open from 48 hours after the Stanley Cup final concludes through July 4. General manager Glen Sather told The Post on Wednesday he has reached a decision on the issue but declined to reveal it.

Wouldn't it be great to have owners that would spend the money to do this....

I have a hunch - not based on any logic - that the Flyers will keep Bryz.

I'm pretty sure it was already announced that Bryz isn't going anywhere...I thought Briere was the only buyout

I'm afraid you are right. They probably are thinking they can do it next year, if nec.

or perhaps they get him some real d-men. As noted, with a servicable blue line, he is a pretty decnt goalie, he proved that in Phoenix

Exactly. Holmgren needs to shore up the defense, not create more uncertainty in the net. Bryz and Mason is better than Bryz and Leighton/Boucher so get the defense in order and find a way to sign Bobby Ryan.

Win some games and no one will care.

You take the good with the bad on that Nard. Expectations are higher when you drop $$$ on players like Richards.
