07:12 AM ET 06.26 | Will he stay or will he go? An NBA source with knowledge of the situation adamantly denied Tuesday that the Charlotte Bobcats are shopping small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist as a trade commodity. Rumors spread quickly Tuesday afternoon, after the website sheridanhoops.com posted a story saying the Bobcats were looking to move Kidd-Gilchrist, on the assumption Georgetown small forward Otto Porter Jr. might be available when they pick fourth Thursday. Porter and Kidd-Gilchrist would create a redundancy on a Charlotte roster with many other needs. Hence the assumption the Bobcats would move Kidd-Gilchrist, the No.???2 overall pick a year ago, to make room for Porter. The league source said not only that Kidd-Gilchrist isn???t on the trading block, but that the chances of Porter making it past the top three picks are slim.

MKG might be the rawest offensive player in the league....if he is not within 3 ft of the basket he cannot score...Jason Kidd as a rookie would have laughed at MKG jumper......that said he does alot of other things pretty well

He is a smaller version of Noel?

So basically they wanna replace a #2 pick (their own choice) with a #4 pick. How dumb is that??

btw If there is a way to make it happen, Hawks should give away their 2 picks for MKG. No better value than that in this draft.

thats why its CRAZY to take these 'motor' guys at the top of the draft-you need to be able to SCORE in the leagueotherwise you are a role player.of course you need role guys to win....but those guys are always available and not worth big, lengthy contractsif you're picking top 5- you need a guy that can or is projected to put the ball in the hole.mkg was not-

That's the M.O. of the Bobcats, picking the wrong player to turn the franchise around.
