07:28 AM ET 06.26 | John Tortorella managed to make it through his introductory press conference in Vancouver without yelling at anyone. The 55-year-old Tortorella was recently fired by the New York Rangers after they lost the Eastern Conference semi-finals to the Boston Bruins in five games. But don't expect him to act the same way he did with the Rangers. ... "I think it's come to the point with me," Tortorella told the Canucks website. "where I'm kind of being defined as 'that lunatic,' not only on the bench, but also after games with media. I don't want to be defined that way, but I do make my own bed in that type of situation and I need to make some corrections, I need to make some adjustments in that part of it."

Kind of cool to admit it, and take responsibility

Speaking of lunatics. Bryz will get paid 39.5 mil for playing 2 years with the Flyers, and be paid through 2027. So is the lunatic the GM, or the person who is keepign the GM employed.

Trades Carter and Richards for cap space, they win a cup, the cap space is used to sign Bryz, then buy out Bryz two years later. Trade JVR for Schenn, trade a first and third for Versteeg, Bob for some picks.

Who besides for Sather could stay employed with just the last 2 years looking like that?

Well sure, if you write it all down at once it sounds bad. But if you just look at them one by one...it's still bad.

What's wrong with TSN? I'll take Bobby Mac and Dreger over anyone any day.

Sportsnet, now there's an unbridled disaster...

Well it was two things - Jay Onrait and Dan O'toole.

They were so bad they've been hired by Fox Sports.
