04:49 PM ET 06.26 | For Eagles veterans, training camp at Lehigh is all they've known during their time in Philadelphia. But that will change this year as the Eagles have ended a 17-year run of preseason practices in Bethlehem, Pa. The team has opted instead to complete this season's three-week camp at its headquarters at the NovaCare Complex and Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia. Receiver Jason Avant joked on Tuesday that the change in venues could offer new distractions. "I know that I have to deal with my daughters keeping me up at night now," he said with a laugh. "I don't know anything else but Lehigh, so I don't know how comfortable I'll be."

The way the NFL offseason is going, probably wise to hold camp where there's a holding cell already in place. I know they took it out a couple years ago, but could easily be refurbished.

It's sad when a player can't hold his temper when there is Millions at stake. Hernandez would have made 40M if his feeling hadn't been hurt.

Still hadn't heard much of "alleged" motive, but apparently chicks are involved. Ain't no **** worth 40 mil.

All told, Hernandez probably lost a career that would have enriched him upwards of $60 mil by the time he retired.

As for this article - Teams with players like the one quoted in this article should tell their players to check into a hotel for the duration of camp - or have the wife and kids go stay at grandma's.

This Avant guy already sounds like he is going to have challenges getting rest.

He couldn't look bad in front of his posse. The streets are always watching said Carlito.

The only reason for the change was for GREEDY LURIE to keep more of his $$$ instead of paying for the Lehigh U complex in Bethlehem. This Rube will do anything to pocket more cash for himself rather than investing in this team. Andy Reid is thanking God every day since he left this Toilet.....
